INTRO TO PILATES - 4 WEEK COURSE

Are you new to Pilates and want to learn the fundamentals? Or, maybe you've been doing Mat Pilates for a while and would like to learn more about using the apparatus… well, then this four-week course is for you!

The Intro to Pilates course will teach you the fundamentals of classical Pilates using the Reformer, Tower, Mat and other pieces of apparatus. You’ll finish the course with an understanding of the classical Pilates principles, allowing you to then confidently and safely join any of our beginner group classes.

Courses run for four weeks, every Saturday at 8:00am. Please contact us to enquire about the next starting date for our next Intro to Pilates course.

*Max 4 in a group class. Not suitable for those who are pregnant, early postpartum or injured. Please note, only available to purchase once per client - this is an introduction offer only. Our four-week Intro courses are strictly a four-week course block booking. If you are unable to attend any of the four classes for any reason they unfortunately cannot be reimbursed or transferred to another date.

GROUP REFORMER

Come and join a group Reformer class, exploring the classical method with added springs and a sliding carriage platform to increase tension and intensity. A versatile piece of equipment, you will explore how the Reformer can be used lying down, kneeling or standing as your practice develops.

With a focus on controlled, precise movements, deep core engagement, and breath control, Reformer Pilates is particularly effective for strengthening the core, rehabilitating injuries, and improving mobility without putting undue stress on the joints. A full body and mind workout with the springs!

GROUP TOWER

Fire up your powerhouse and let us guide you through a classical flow on the Tower. Different to the Reformer, the Tower is a fixed frame with adjustable springs to challenge and increase mobility.

It's like Mat work, but we add the springs, to challenge, strengthen and stretch the body. Tower is energetic and powerful - you’ve got to be in charge of those springs, and we promise you’ll leave feeling stronger, taller and ready to face the day.

ONE TO ONE OR ONE TO TWO CLASSES

1:1 / 1:2

These private sessions are ideal if you have specific goals or injuries that need more of a personal approach. Maybe you're rehabilitating from injury or illness and want to understand how to regain your strength slowly and safely. Or perhaps you want to increase your skills and understanding of the classical Pilates principles before joining a group class.

Whatever your reason, a private 1:1/1:2 session can help you to elevate your Pilates practice, boost your confidence and help you to focus on your long-term goals. Your private classes will guide you through the classical repertoire, involving a mix of Mat work, Reformer, Tower and the Wunda Chair as you develop your practice week by week.

You may also train privately with a friend or family member by booking a 1:2
session.

Classical Mat Pilates is all about the original mat sequence, rooted in the classical Pilates principles developed by Joseph Pilates. It focuses on building strength, flexibility, and body awareness through controlled movements that emphasise core engagement, alignment, and breath.

         Join us on the mat and let us guide you through the repertoire of classical mat work, using just your body weight and a mat, whilst we focus on the principles of Pilates; breathing, concentration, centring, control, precision and flow.

CONTEMPORARY MAT

Contemporary Pilates is a modern adaptation of the original, classical Pilates method, blending the core principles established by Joseph Pilates with new exercises and variations.

Contemporary Pilates focuses on improving posture, flexibility, strength, and overall body awareness, with the use of small props such as bands, balls and magic circles to further challenge and deepen your workout.

BARRE

Combining the grace and discipline of ballet, yoga and Pilates with the power of strength and conditioning, Barre is the perfect way to build muscle while increasing your flexibility and mobility.

Low impact, but high intensity, Barre focuses on repetitive ballet-inspired movements at the barre, with the additional use of props for a high-energy, full body workout.

The up-tempo alternative to your usual
Barre class, Barre Burn is a high-energy class that combines elements of ballet barre, Pilates and strength training for a fast pace, full-body workout. Put your coordination and endurance to the test with high intensity continuous circuits that will have you working every muscle from head to toe!

PRENATAL

These classes are aimed at second trimester onwards,  offering a safe and effective workout, that can help your body prepare for giving birth and the physical demands of motherhood. These classes usually run in blocks of five.

GROUP CLASSES

POSTNATAL

These classes focus on regaining core/pelvic floor strength after having a baby, using safe and effective Pilates exercises. Pilates helps with strength, tone, alignment, balance and flexibility - all of which can be affected after having a baby. These classes run in blocks of 6 or 7.

You must have had clearance at your 6 week check from your GP/Midwife to begin exercise. It will be longer (8-12) weeks if you have had a c-section.
