Katy trained in dance from a young age but unfortunately suffered a knee injury at the age of 16. It was through suffering with her knee injury that she discovered the Pilates method. Katy attended various classes over the years, but it was during her time at ALRA in London where she was training as an Actor, that she really fell in love with Pilates. It complemented her movement studies as a performer perfectly, and it helped her to rebuild her strength after her knee operation.
After leaving drama school, Katy went on to study with STOTT Pilates in London, and has since furthered her Pilates training with The Pilates Center, Boulder & The Pilates Hub, Edinburgh.
Katy has been teaching for over 8 years and offers both Classical and Contemporary Pilates, with a specialism in working with Pre and Postnatal women.
Katy launched The Pilates Studio Cheshire to create a calm, welcoming and relaxing space to offer Mat & Reformer Pilates, as well as now, the introduction of Barre classes and a variety of wellness events.
